MISSION.
Providing sanitary supplies and promoting feminine hygiene for less fortunate teenage girls

This project is uniquely designed to highlight issues and concerns of special relevance to preteen/teen girls (10-17 yrs) in our community; and strives to address their sanitary needs through providing supplies and support during their "on the rag" menstrual cycle days.

Sanitary Supplies.

TFAP provides sanitary supplies, promote and educate girls about feminine health and wellness through addressing hygienic practices and proper sanitary care. It uses educational forums held every month as platforms where girls share their concerns and challenges, network with peers and form a mentor-mentee relationship with the coordinators.

Serving preteen and teen girls.

TFAP is currently serving 50 preteen/ teen girls in the Maringo Estate. Since inception, the number of girls that needs our services/help have steadly increased and the neibhoring estates are requesting to be included. We believe, with your help and support, we can expand to other estates, counties and in the future cover the entire nation.

Can you be a volunteers

A VOLUNTEER is a person who is a light to others, giving witness in a mixed-up age, doing well and willingly the tasks at hand-namely, being aware of another's needs and doing something about it. Volunteers are seldom paid; not because they are worthless, but because they are PRICELESS!

Who are our volunteers?

Currently the project is supported by wonderful volunteers who are working tirelessly to ensure that the vision and mission is realized. Stacia John, Tecla Achieng, Stella Kilonzo, John Odhiambo and Kevin Owingo coordinated the project launch in Kenya, December 18, 2010.

What our volunters do

These wonderful volunteers are Talented, Focused, Ambitious and Poised. TFAP is fortunate to have such human resources on board. They were responsible for identifying the target population, setting up lauch site, purchase, distribution of supplies as well as documenting the launch experience both in video and photos.
